Fashion doesn’t mean wearing what trend-setters promote or blindly wearing whatever is being sold as a current mode by trendsetters. Fashion is an art, the style characteristics of a social elite. Fashion is putting personal ideas in an individual manner. Being fashionable is to get yourself into a particular state, form or character.
Fashion is a way of life that revolves around the activities, dress, interests, etc, that are most fashionable.
Styling is a distinctive appearance, typically determined by the principles according to which something is designed, it designates a particular description.
A latest article in a fashion magazine says that the best way to become stylish is to interview your closet. To the uninitiated, fashion is simply clothing. However, there is much more to fashion than clothes to cover your body with. Changes in fashion vary from a subtle change in clothing to dramatic ones. Fashion changes often and is dictated by the fashion industry.
There are two extremes in people who wear fashions. On one end is the person who wears and seeks every trend available. This person is called a “fashion victim,” as he does not have a sustainable style because the trends change so often. On the other end of the spectrum is a person who doesn’t care about what is in fashion and wears clothes that are dated. This person presents himself in a way that does not fit into what society dictates. Most people fall in between these two extremes. The best way to keep up with the ever-changing fashions is to choose the trends that most appeal to you and your style and mix them with classic pieces to maintain a longer-lasting wardrobe.
These four aspects serve to define what fashion is. And, like it or not, fashion is an ever-present part of the world. The most important thing to remember about fashion is that you allow the clothing available to suit you, not the other way around.
Well! I had been lately doing a lot of researches on fashion and this is what Society has to say about looking fashionable and classically stylish together.
1. Discard old clothes from your closet replacing them with new ones. They have no class and will do no favours and deserves to be out of your closet.
Few things to consider throwing out would be:
-Skirts more than five inches above your knees.
-Heels more than three inches high.
-Boots higher than two inches above your knee.
-Things in fluorescent colours.
-Things with clashing prints e.g. lime green and orange is an extreme example.
-Crop tops and boob tubes, and tops with very low cut chests.
-Fishnet tights with large holes.
-Anything stained or ripped.
-Anything you haven’t worn in two years.
2.Now since you’ve emptied your wardrobe, it’s time to refilling it by shopping.
Few things to be kept in mind while shopping would be:
-Black/blue/brown/white trousers (all of them) to go with any top.
-Three or more skirts, different colours.
-Three or more jackets, different colours.
-Many flat shoes, and two pairs with low heels.
-One pair of shoes with a higher heel.
3. Stay on track by wearing these quintessential items, that would make you look classier.
4. Don’t show too much of skin.
Showing off bare skin is not at all classy no matter how fashionable it may be.
5.Have presentable legs to look classier.
6.The society knows that prints are very fashionable but don’t go wrong deciding the one that is right for you.
7.Wear what suits you and not what suits other.
8.Fashion beyond imagination.
Think of the most fashionable person, say Audrey Hepburn and then choose an evening outfit and imagine that you want her to wear that. Do you think she would wear that, would that be in par with her fashion standards?
If not, then modify your outfit to make it up to standard.
9.Wear perfumes that suits you and tingles your nostril and not others are buying.
10.The orifice.
Fashion is not only wearing fashionable clothes but also being neat and tidy and not shabby with a stinky gob. Make sure that your mouth doesn’t stink which faint the other person around you.
11.Keeping your hair healthy makes you look very vitalized and class apart.
So make sure you do your hair according to your face cut, you can also take help of hair stylists.
12.Keeping yourself healthy and clean
A healthy body and skin gives you a very classy look, so stay healthy to look stylish.
